Sherman  Sucess!

From Iowa Gulch. Wind was terrible but was nice on the summit. Nice hike, to many people on the summit but thats typical for a colorado 14teener.

SP Winter gathering  Sucess!

Did this with a number of SPers on a chilly and very windy day. Quick 14er with the trail open all the way to the summer gate and our choice to head straight up the side of the mountain.

Night/Sunrise ascent  Sucess!

Car camped right below the gate and then hit the trail at 330am with about 10 friends. The trail can be misleading in the dark - there's mining roads all over the place. Topped-out right as the sun was rising. It was freezing cold and windy at the summit but a great experience.

Fourmile Creek  Sucess!

An unseasonably warm, but windy, ascent with my wife. We enjoyed looking at the old mines from a safe distance on our way down.

A little chilly  Sucess!

This made 14er ascent #31 and first time up Sherman. Summited both Gemini twins as well but got weathered out on the approach to Dyer Mountain.

Ski Ascent/Descent  Sucess!

Skied up using tele gear on very good snow coverage. Was very windy and hard to stand without feeling like you're going to get blown over; made the descent quite interesting.

Second in 2008  Sucess!

Another snow hike, very short trip, easy route. Much later, in spring 2012 I discovered that there are so many beautiful thirteeners around it.

Cool sightseeing  Sucess!

Straight forward climb, you can see the top from most of the trail. Just as scenic is the old mining ruins you pass along the way. The time enroute was quicker than published (2hrs actual) and we decided to traverse the ridge to Mt Sheridan, a 13er on the other hump.

All Tenmile/Mosquito Range 14ers in 31 hours  Sucess!

The final summit in my completion of all of the Tenmile/Mosquito Range 14ers in 31 hours. I didn't like the looks of the skies, but the weather held.
