Mount Solomons from the Helen Lake outlet
The latitude and longitude indicate where the photo was taken. Mount Solomons is SSW, July 9, 2009 (2009.07.09).
It was a pretty good snow year, and the JMT was almost completely covered for over a mile in both directions from Muir Pass, but Helen Lake was open, and the waters, beautiful.
A couple hours before, we had escaped from the Ionian Icebox (err... Ionian Basin) via a snowy, slippery Solomans Pass.
