Dayhike  Sucess!

Day hiked all three peaks starting from Stinson Beach. Went up the Matt Davis Trail bagged West, Middle and East Peaks in succession, headed down Fern Creek Trail to Pantoll and eventually came down Steep Ravine. After about 15 miles we laid down under a bridge and soaked our feet in the nice cold stream. Was an incredible trek and we couldn't have picked a better day.

Great views  Sucess!

Took the shortest route up. This was a while back, but I recall the views of swirling cloud over the Golden Gate to be fascinating. Would be nice to return on a crystal-clear day, but I doubt it would be completely empty then as it was on that morning. Great place to see before visiting Muir Woods.

From Muir Woods  Sucess!

It's been a long time since I summited this peak. I think it must have been around 2008 with Josh and Josh.

From the Muir Woods Parking Lot  Sucess!

Date approximate. With redwoods, views, and a good workout, up and back to Mount Tam from Muir Woods is one of my favorite all-around hikes in the Bay Area.

Good warmup/exercise for bigger trips  Sucess!

I've climbed this from Stinson Beach via Steep Ravine many times. I usually try to make it all the way up and then all the way down from Stinson, though sometimes I get lazy and catch a ride from Pantoll on the way back down.
