Route Climbed: North Ridge Date Climbed: August 13  Sucess!

Climbed the North Ridge as described by ben as part of my challenge to cover the whole ridge from Audubon, Paiute, Toll, Pawnee, and Little Pawnee in a day. Was a great trip (see my tripreport for more information). I had planned to use the Northwest Face route, but sitting below the North Ridge I decided to give it a go. The climbing was easier than expected (did not even bring gear, but saw some old rusty bolts). It amounts to 3 moves that are 5.6, otherwise it is pretty simple. And even these moves are not very exposed, so that I always felt that I could stop myself in case of a fall. -- One chimney section provided a smaller problem since I could barely squeeze myself and my backpack up.

On the way down I also summited Toll's no-name neighboor to the south.

Route Climbed: Standard Date Climbed: July, 1998  Sucess!

Climbed with Jim Lierman and Aaron Johnson. No one on the mountain but us. That's the rest of the world's loss; our gain. Nice, nice mountain!!!!

Route Climbed: Toll Snowfield Date Climbed: Early-June 2004  Sucess!

The snowfield is a great early June climb, and a wonderful glissade back down. Easy traverse to Pawnee adds some views south.

Route Climbed: south ridge Date Climbed: 7-27-02  Sucess!

Mount Toll has the best view of theLone Eagle Cirque of any mountain in the Brainard Lake area. It's debatable as to which mountain is the most beautiful in the Brainard Lake area but Toll very well could be the one. Great mountain and I highly recommend.

Route Climbed: Northwest Face Date Climbed: July 18, 2004  Sucess!

After climbing Audubon and Paiute, we climbed the cairned Northwest Face route, a fine class-3 climb. This is the easiest way to combine a climb of Paiute with Toll.

Beautiful weather, good rock, firm snow - basically heaven in a morning's climb.

Route Climbed: Blue Lake Date Climbed: Nov. 17, 2001  Sucess!

An absolute beautiful day. It was windy at the lake and calm on the summit.

Route Climbed: Standard, with variations thereof. Date Climbed: At least 10 times since 1980, from January to October  Sucess!

As Roach so nicely puts it, even without an Indain name its one of the best Indian Peaks. I've brought visiting friends and relatives to the top on beautiful summer days, and had great early season snow climbs in various gullies. Turned back on the North Face by an unusual all-day steady rain in July. Better that than lightning!
