Bike / Ski Ascent  Sucess!

Parked at Tower Junction and biked the road until about 8,000 feet then skinned the rest of the way to the top. The views are amazing up there and we had a great descent. We saw a wolf near the road on our way out. If you are skiing this make sure to talk to rangers first because a lot of the area is permanently closed for grizzlies and you have to follow a specific route.

Chittendon Road  Sucess!

Nice lookout and summit area. Easy hike, but had to leave the road briefly to avoid a bison coming down.

Just missed a cougar  Sucess!

Hiked on family vacation. The people who got to the top just after I did said they saw a cougar! That would have been exciting.

Mount Washburn  Sucess!

Nice hike in the National Park. Hiked up later in the evening and still quite a few people out on the trail. Got back down just a bit before sunset. Nice day hiking in Wyoming, this one was my third P2K of the day.

Beautiful!  Sucess!

Took my time walking up to keep my breathing steady and to enjoy the views. The fire watchtower was cool to see. Walking back down, I almost slipped a few times on the loose gravel. Overall, it was a great hike.

Chittenden Road  Sucess!

Very enjoyable half day hike with MD. Saw bears and bison on the drive in from the northern side of the park. Saw tons of marmots and bighorn sheep on the hike itself.

Chittenden Road  Sucess!

Finally made it up with the whole family. We had tried it several times years ago when the older kids were little and the younger kids hadn't arrived yet. I carried my 4 year old at least half way up and probably 3/4 of the way down so we could hurry as the weather was iffy. Our up time was 1.5 hours and down time was one hour. It rained all morning so we weren't really planning on it but once we pulled into the parking lot, it looked like it might clear up so we went for it. The sun broke out and we had a rather warm hike despite the rain all morning.
