No views on this misty day, but the rocks and forest we're beautiful.

Kind of a snowshoe
Set out to snowshoe up. The snow conditions were such that we didn't need them. Great mountain close to home.

Standard Route
Where is all the snow???? Snow started appearing on the trail about half way up. Not much but what was there was all packed down. Probably could have used micro-spikes in a few sections but careful stepping with poles was fine. Was clouded in for most of the way, but clouds managed to break right after hitting the summit. Great views in all directions (that don't have trees in the way). Not a hard mountain by any means, but certainly a nice walk up.
Hike up Mount Washington via the Great Wall trail in fog with BSA Troop 626 per recommendation by John Roper. Route finding was challenging on the Change Creek logging road which parallels Change Peak. Ended up overshooting the trail to the summit on FS 5010-310 and had to scramble up a wall of Devils Glove in the fog to the true summit. Many people often miss the turnoff on this route up passing Change Peak.
Fresh late season snowfall of about 8 inches all the way down to the trailhead. Made for a very pretty trip.

Rainy Day Hike
Did this one on a rainy day. Nothing special, but good for a workout. No views. Lots of people hiking in blue jeans, t-shirts, converse shoes etc despite the downpour. The main page says 12 miles round trip, but I counted 8.5 and ~3250 elevation gain. 4 hours car to car.

No views, no problem
Hiked up with Maddie on a cool, foggy day in early May. Absolutely no views, but the rock was interesting and the trail was quiet. Nice relaxing spring day. No snow.

Led a hike for the Mountaineers CHS group with 7 happy hikers and 2 friendly dogs. Nice stiff climb made for a great conditioner! Perfect weather capped off with an amazing view from the top!

Mt Washington
Clear skies, warm weather. Last real weekend of summer, and this was a bit of a slog. Looking forward to a winter ascent.
Another "one'n'dun". Much better peaks in the area for less effort.

Meh
Cold, snowy day. No snowshoes. Took almost 5 hours to make the summit from the car due to a lot of trail-breaking thru hip deep snow. No views.

Mount Washington summit
It was a beautiful sunny day but slushy snow was on the trail from about 3 miles on and off up to the top. We took it slow and easy, endured some post holing and scary parts and were rewarded with the amazing views at the top. We saw just 8 other people the whole 9 hours we were on the trail.Awesome day!

Snowy midweek hike
One retired, two unemployed, and me (midweek days off). Headed up in delightfully fresh, dry snow. Super-sunny and lovely. Drank beers at the top -- actually the knob just below the top, looking out at Rainier. Didn't need our axes or snowshoes. Nice.

Summer trail to summit of Mt Washington mid week. Total absence of people on this trip. No bugs though! Guess it got too cold for em.
