Good running trail! I parked just short of Olmsted Pt and XC to meet the trail away from the crowd. Pretty dull trail other than final views from Watkins' summit lump. Pywiack Cascades was actually the highlight for me.

Nice view of Half Dome and even better one of Cloud's Rest. Somewhat surprised more people don't come up here. Not too tough of a hike and pretty spectacular scenery. Plenty of nice camp spots on the summit too.

3 Day trip
Went with a rather large party--was pretty deep snow the whole trek upwards, we only had our day packs on as we basecamped, but it was still incredibly exciting and challenging. The view was spectacular, and we even got to witness a small snowfall on the other side of the vally when we arrived at the top.

Pleasant short hike on a cold day. Hard to beat the view from south of the summit.

Trail from 120
Almost made the hike from the valley but ran out of time, so we completed the hike from 120 the next day. The trail leading out of Tenaya Canyon is spectacular; plenty of water at snow creek. The trail leading from 120 is dull except for the last mile+ which runs along a cliff making it possible to to see lots of detail in Tenaya Canyon including a nice water fall. Hiked with Anna, Roman, and, Nurida.

West slope from Mirror Lake
Did the switchback day hike from the valley on a beautiful spring day. Again on September 19 '10 from Olmstead Point.

Tagged this one on the way back to the Valley after hiking up Tenaya Canyon. Not exactly the shortest route back, but quite scenic. Fine views to Half Dome and down to the canyon. Trip Report
