With Marshall and Nathan. Did ridge scramble west to east and descended the east ridge. This route can be kept at class three and is quite a bit longer and more involved than we anticipated. The rock is an amazing white granite that is very grippy and clean. In short, we loved it.
From the bottom of Baldwin Gulch road in winter.
Nice hike after Antero, great views of Antero and no crowds.
Last peak of a 6 peak day. Went up solo at last minute. Changed plans due to weather in the Sangre de Cristo.
Cool views of the Arkansas Valley!
Packed into near treeline, then did Antero, White, and Cronin the next day. Long and cold day, one of the coldest hikes I've done with temps hovering in the low single digits.
Backpacked to 11,750ft along Antero jeep road and made a loop over Antero, White & Cronin the following day. Very COLD!
Traversed over to Mt White after an ascent of Antero and then descended the road back to the car. Not too snowy for this time of year, the road was still dry until about 1/2 mile above the road split (11,000'). Clear day, but really windy - especially on the summit ridge of White.
Wife, dog and I. Wanted to escape the Fourth of July crowds so backpacked up Little Browns Creek. Goodness, what a beautiful hike. Headed over from Antero. Highly recommend Little Brown Creek hike.
After Antero and North Carbonate with Andy Mac.
Not an easy or short climb, but well worth it. Aspens were in their full gold apparel. Weather was splendid as well.
