Peakbug and I headed over after climbing Joe Mills. The summit was a bit anticlimactic after the amazing views on the other peak, however we did enjoy looking at Longs, Pagoda, the Spearhead and other peaks from a clearing near the top.
Made it through the forest with rkymtn, after Joe Mills Mountain. Two small peaks that made for a fun, off-trail day.
Decided to combine Mount Wuh from Joe Mills Mtn. Turns out this is a brushy mess! I am pretty experienced in horrible off-trail adventures but this is close to the worst I've done.
Hike with CMC from Bearlake trailhead. It's a blizzard day. Lots of snow but lots of fun.
kick my ass
West ridge with point 10574
Headed over to Wuh after Joe Mills. My bright idea of a nice loop hike turned into a trailbreaking, bushwacking nightmare....lesson learned!
2 hours roundtrip.
CMC hike. We started from Hallowell Park, followed the trail to Mill Creek Basin, then bushwhacked the rest of the way. There was still a lot of snow on the summit.
Mount Wuh got it's name from the Arapahoe Indian word for grizzly bear.
Total ascents = 4.
Snowshoed the pair from the Bear Lake Trailhead. It was a fairly easy jaunt to the summit. Round Pond was nice and peaceful.
