Uneventful Rainy day
2 hours c2c, modest rain but nasty mud on the trail. Easy, but views were obstructed by heavy fog :(

Zion Stroll
Just a little stroll off the forest service road. Would have had some amazing views had it not been for the clouds.

With Luna after doing Townsend to get over 4000 ft today. Easy up in about 45 minutes on the Mt/ Zion Trail. No views though, well, there are some south views at a little viewpoint off the trail but nothing at the summit.

On a Tuesday, my hubby and I headed up to climb this mountain. We encountered a group of about 20 ladies of all ages heading up the trail. They were hilarious and in great spirits! They all had different goals and most didn't care that they were being passed up by us. Only the lead women tried to keep up with us! Good hearted fun toward the end with a lot of trash talking ;-)

Lots of climbing potential
not a climb, a hike up a well maintained trail. summit is nothing special. lots of anchors for climbing though and a ton of potential for trad and top roping.
Fun little hike with the family. Not much for views as the day was cloudy, but still a good outing.

Zion
I decided to hike Mount Zion because of its low elevation. The weather was not good on the higher peaks this day. When we did get to the top the fog rolled in as usual.

Nice
Only car in the lot, only person on the trail. Clouds, below, fog on the way up, blowing hail at the top.
Once with the wife and kids on a soggy Father's Day and once again on a crisp, clear Christmas Eve. Easy peak to stretch the legs on.

Double Header
Took the longer Dead Fall trail on the way up, not very much snow till quite a bit higher up. Had a fun little "picnic" on the summit then made our way down the shorter standard route. When we got back to the car we realized how early it was and opted to do Mount Walker too.

Zion and Walker
A bunch of us decided to try the Dead Fall trail on Zion which is longer and harder than the standard way. It was a lot more interesting and a bit more challenging. Afterward, Robbin and Skylar and I still had some energy so we drove over to Mount Walker and hiked that one too.

Quick and Easy
I found the standard route from the main parking lot to be a little bit of a let down. What should I expect from a 4278 foot peak right? Actually, I went north along the ridge beyond the summit and found some interesting rocks and exposure. I ran down in about 23 minutes.

Sick as a dogMy dad wanted to go up there with me and I didn't want to let him down. Didn't get to enjoy it to the fullest being sick. Great view though!
