Altels for beginners

Hi Digitalis. Do you think it is better to
ascend Zackengrat for a glacier beginner (I had a winter course in Tatras, but have never been on glacier) or ascend Altels via normal route
(rock on Altels looks of much worse quality than rocks on the Zackengrat)?
How about final part of Altels ascend? There is a short, but very airy
ridge from fore-summit on Altels. Isn't the ridge too dangerous? Will it be more dangerous than Zackengrat
at the end of june? We will go there last days of june. How much snow are
we to expect up there? What about avalanche danger at the end of june?

Do you have any advice for me? Unless you have, I may rather ascend only
leicht Schwarzhorn (Grindelwald). Will you join us two (me and my
girlfriend, SP member Ludmilienka)? Thanks in advance for any advice. Cheers Tomas :)

Re: Altels for beginners

Balmhorn on the normal route is difficult WS (PD). Normal route = Hotel Schwarenbach-Zackengrat-Balmhorn.

Altels is a insidious mountain. be careful.

more L(F) WS(PD) mountains in Bernese Alps are: Wildstrubel, Wildhorn, Les Diablerets, Steghorn, Walcherhorn. Be careful for the crevasse.

arrange a mountain guide - a good investment - one lives only once
