Cool urban mountain. I found a bunch of houses right next to the western foot of the mtn. The more substantantial northern suburb had dark roofs and the smaller houses southern had light roofs. This was a tad north of the Shakespeare Cafe. I could follow the path from the suburb to the top of the mountain on Google Earth.

Thanks for looking. The houses just west of the peak with dark roofs might have been the North End- an area of older 1900-1950 homes. The homes more south of the peak with the light roofs are probably the newer ones (1995-present). Google Earth is amazxing.

Thanks for looking- your nice and close to this, so this could be your training grounds- we'll get out for a run on those trails soon (after this snowstorm)

I think you are "Lucky" to have peaks like this in your back yard. Here in the tri cities, we aren't so blessed but I think this peak is a nice addition to SP particularly for those who live in your area.

Thanks Dean- I appreciate the nice comments and support of local peaks. Your not too far from the Wallowas, where there's excellent peaks and hinking- nice area.
