"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Untitled CommentGreat page. Just a few additional things worth mentioning:
- Mission Blvd where Ohlone College is can be reached via the 880 or 680. If you come from 880, Ohlone College is on your right just after the power lines. If you come from 680, it's on your left. Ohlone College also has (at least) two entrances on the south side of Mission, take the west entrance and head up the hill to the highest parking lot you can find.
- This peak is very popular with mountain bikers. I'm not sure how high they go but I see them on the lower parts of the trail all the time. Some of them say they've been to the summit or are going there but I haven't seen any that high.
- If you come at the right time, you'll be treated to gorgeous fields of California Poppies (Eschscholtzia californica) which became the official state flower of California back on March 2, 1903 - 100 years to the day after my 3rd hike to the top.
- There are lots of cows here.
Thanks for adding this :-)keema - Mar 13, 2003 6:50 am - Hasn't voted

Untitled CommentDavid,
Thanks for the vote and the heads up on spelling. Typos more likely. Didn't use spell check. I think I have found them all. If there are still some, please let me know.

Untitled CommentNice page- thanks for the memories- I used to live a few miles from Mission and ran it often. One Xmas day it was a glorious 70 degrees when I was on it.

Untitled CommentThanks for the vote Sean. Mission is a usual jaunt the day after Christmas with the in laws for me.
