Yes, I concur that it's kind of a weak page. Just wanted to get it started. My biggest problem on the trip was that it just seemed to rain and rain or just get socked in with thick fog. I only got two photos from Mount Battie that didn't come out as white cotton.

For some reason, the information I needed about the park was at a website (Maine.gov) that kept locking up. I'll get that stuff on there.

I agree with attm, you have some more to add to make this page complete. Is it near the Atlantic?

Yeah. The base of the mountain is in the ocean. It rises right up out of the sea. I wanted to get a good shot of that, but the rain and fog just screwed it up. Trying to get some other photos from relatives who live up there.

It is a start. Some links and more images of this east coast mountain would help. Being near the coast I see your trip was fogged or clouded in. Hopefully the next one will provide you with better views. I will check back later and up my vote. Cheers William

I'm just battie about Mount Battie. A mountain of fun on Penobscot Bay.

Thanks! Do you have some good photos to add? The weather just would not cooperate when we were there. I have only those two photos to show for the whole day spent there.

Been by a few times, but the kids never wanted to stop.

Now I have a bit of a reason. That and Mt. Megunticook.

Our plan that day was to hike up to Megunticook (at 1385 feet, it rivals the big hills there in Acadia). But the weather sucked so bad, and we were so tired of hiking in the rain, that we didn't go.
