It's good to see the highest point of Antarctica here. Excellent work on the history of climbing Vinson. BTW, I found one of your books at the USGS library about mountain climbing in Antarctica. Since they were giving away duplicate copies of some of their books, I added it to my collection.
Thanks CSF, I've spent a bit of time at the USGS over the years. They were a great help to me and we shared all of our GPS data with them too. They also have a good collection of Antarctic aerial images if you ever have lots of spare time!
Damien - I'd love to get my hands on a copy of your book, but is it really $70? I think Amazon may be holding them hostage... Is it a coffee table book? Just wondering if there was a cheaper option... hope all is well and thanks for putting this page up. Best, James
Thanks James. Just be warned that although the book is about $40 all the good stuff to climb in it is about $40,000! :-) I may well take you up on the beer though...
