Another Nice 'Desert Utah' Page

I think I'd just like it to have a link or two to the pix of the most fancy of the animals.

Thank you yatsek. I did include a link for the mojave green rattlesnake and I'll look for a good pic of the protected desert tortoise that is in the Woodbury area. I didn't personally see any animals during my visit although I did see deer tracks on the road.

I don't think I'd enjoy running into the Mojave Green.
They have the distinction of being the "pit bull" of the desert,
and that's probably no bull. Outstanding page ...

Road is gone

You now need to park near the sign that says "Dead End" because the road is gone. It'd be tough for even an ATV to go up it and would be best on a dirt bike now. Figure 6 miles and 2500 elevation gain.

Road is back

As stated in my trip report, somehow the road has been restored and we were able to drive all the way to the gate in a Mercedes SUV without scraping on Feb. 25, 2012.
