Leading the sustained crack...

Leading the sustained crack on P2 of Kor-Ingalls route. 50-60 feet of hard climbing makes this the crux of the route in my humble opinion. The pitch looks reasonable from the belay below but I found it quite difficult (esp. for a 5.8!!) once in the OW crack. In fact, - Oh my good Lord forbid!!! - I rested on gear!!! Oh the shame!!! Slacker!

Hangdogging a 5.8? Just kidding. :-) I got my ass kicked by an offwidth at Vantage recently. I know how it feels!

Man you guys are hardcore! Driving all the way to Colorado on friggin Christmas to do this route. Now that's dedication. Summitpost's most prolific climbers in action again.

Love all the new photos, you guys rock!

Re: Slacker!

Thanks Martin!

It's not that bad of a drive (just sounds bad at 980 miles each way from pdx) ~13-14 hrs w/o too much speeding.....and when jazzed up on caffeine it really flies by :)

thank you again for checking these out and the good comments.

Rested on gear?!

I rested on gear while sitting in my chair looking at the photo! Nice work. The whole series is superb. Congrats.
