Satorina (1624m) , highest...

Satorina (1624m), highest peak of Mid Velebit, from Dokozina Plan (1250m) meadow. From this side (N) it is mostly under beech and spruce forest and dwarf pine above forest line, while W and S slopes (not visible here) are grassy. Two routes from Stirovaca valley lead towards Satorina via Dokozina Plan, where they meet. Main summit is small head right of sharp one, overgrown with dwarf pine. It appears lower because it is further back. With its shape and volume Satorina dominates its surroundings and offers fantastic views in all directions.
