Mt. Adams peeking over the south shoulder of Mt. St. Helens as viewed from Goat Mountain, the highpoint of Cowlitz County, to the west on Feb. 26, 2005.
Trivial note: Skamania Pinnacle (8,920+ ft)--the highpoint of Skamania County--is located on the ridge with shaded left side extending directly toward the camera on Adams' west side. Before May 18, 1980 the highpoint of Skamania County was Mt. St. Helens. Prior to the eruption, St. Helens' height was 9,677 ft. Now it is 8,365 ft.
