Mt. Augusta and various central Nevada peaks in the SP database as seen from the Reno - Denver air route looking ESE. Along with a bird's-eye view of Basin & Range topography, note the excessive amount of lingering snowpack that comes with a typical Great Basin "wet" year. The Carson Sink and Dixie Valley playas are clearly visible in the foreground. April 5, 2005
