The top of the fire tower is no longer accessible but there is an open metal platform on the tower about twenty feet off the summit that gives a full 360 degree view of the surrounding area. Sixty eight minutes up on the hottest day of the year so far.

1st real winter hike!
my first winter hike...probably 18 inches to 3 feet (in places). Wow!! Kicked my butt (didn't realize snow shoes were that much effort)...but really worth it. Beautiful views.

My old favoriteThis was my favorite climb as a kid. I used to love climbing up into the fire tower for lunch.
