Funny!I can see why it's called Mt. Disappointment! All of those radio antennas must somewhat ruin a feeling of solitude! Beautiful picture!

Re: Funny!It's a funny name indeed. When some surveyors at the turn of the last century (~1900 I think) mapped the area they thought this peak is the high point of the San Gabriel front range. When they reached the summit they found out that the neighboring San Gabriel Peak was even higher; they were disappointed...

Re: Funny!That's a good story! Must have been a big pain to find out that they had to climb another mountain after failing on their first attempt.
