Route Climbed: West Ridge
Hiked up Broads Fork and gained the saddle between Sunrise and Dromedary; then took the west ridge to the top. I had never explored this area before. It's beautiful with plenty of solitude.

Route Climbed: counter-clockwise loop from Broads Fork
Solo.
I went to the saddle above Tanner's Gulch from Broads Fork, started up the gully on the south face and branched to the right straight up the face on more solid rock, with a short ridge scramble to the top from there. Picked my way halfway down the northeast face through the sloping and scree-littered ledge system, and found the steep gully on the north ridge. Meandered in and out of that as the drop-offs necessitated, to the shoulder and back down Broads Fork. Fun and strenuous, I can't wait to try it on snow.

Broads Fork
Came from broads fork, super long talus slope, but fun anyways.
The first of the three on the route. Definitely the tightest ridge, excellent alpine climbing, only a 10 minute drive from my house.

Triple Traverse and others
The route to the saddle between Sunrise and Dromedary is, indeed, steep. Maintaining the north side of the chute helps to avoid the block at the very narrow notch. Although about the same climb re distance as the one to Twin Peaks, this one is definitely more challenging and strenuous. Brent W. and I made it up in 3+37. This is my 2nd time on the top, the previous one being on 8-3-03 from the Lake Blanche. #3 as part of Triple Traverse in June '07 and fourth time on 8-23-07 as part of Cottonwood Ridge to south end of Sundial ridge. Fun! 5th time at the summit was a part of the entire Cottonwood Ridge run with Dennis, Matt & Lana. The ridge run took 12 hours which included the east Twin Peak (from Broads Fork, then west to east to Alta). #6 on May 6, 2008 as part of the famous Triple Traverse. #7 as part of 2nd Cottonwood Ridge run on July 19, 2008. #8 Triple Traverse 5-16-09. #9 Tanner's Triple Traverse 5-7-10 w/ Joe Bullough; broke trail the entire route. #10 on 7-3-10 as part of 3rd Cottonwood Ridge run. W/ WMC. #11 7-17-12 W/ Brent via BF saddle, Sunrise, this one and eastward on ridge to Blanche Peak. Strong southerly winds. #12 8-11-12 Part of Cottonwood Ridge traverse with WMC members Brad & Sam. #13 4-17-17 Solo. Microspikes, snowshoes, crampons - all put to good use in consolidating snow and hairy ridge line traverses above 10,700'. Via BF generally. #14 05-22-23 W/Lana 7+30 up vía the north ridge. Wonderful snow conditions.
--June 28, 2007 Ferguson Canyon-->Mt. Superior, Cottonwood Ridge Traverse
--August 22, 2006. East ridge from Lake Blanche. Continued east to Peak 10,910 with some interesting scrambling on the ridge. Goats spotted multiple times. Great day!
--July 2002. Came from Twins and Sunrise...descended to Lake Blanche as lightning flashed and rain poured. An exciting end to an amazing day.

Dromedary
Did this with my friend Scott I believe in 97 and also did Sunrise/Twins. Did again 8/25/07 with Marauders. Had a perfect day and the peak and route all to ourselves. I should have left the trail runners at home though.
Numerous ascents. This is an interesting scramble no matter which way you approach it, East, West, North or South. Like many nearby peaks, this one is crawling with emerging Ladybird Beetles (ladybugs) in late spring.
Route Climbed: Triple Traverse, Cottonwood Ridge Date Climbed: July 23rd, 2005
Joe Bullough and I bagged Mt Dromedary after climbing Storm Mtn, the BF Twins, and Sunrise Pk on our way to the Cottonwood Ridge, which turned out to be a day with 9,000 ft of elevation gain!
Route Climbed: Broads Fork, Cottonwood Ridge Date Climbed: Oct 16, 2003, many other times
I hiked from Broads Fork to the saddle between Dromedary and Sunrise. The view from the top is the best. You can see much of Little Cottonwood Canyon and down into Lake Blanche. Last time I was there we had to descend the ridge during a rain and lightning storm which was quite interesting.
Route Climbed: Triple Traverse via Ferguson Canyon Date Climbed: September 18th, 2004
Ascended via Storm Mountain and the full Robinson Ridge, then continued on to do Broads Fork Twins, Sunrise Pk, and Mt Dromedary before descending via Lake Blanche. A storm front was moving in, and we encountered steady 20-30mph winds with 40-50mph gusts.
Route Climbed: Tiple Traverse Date Climbed: October 18th, 2003
Nice peak, beautiful scramble :) Great way to end my variation of the Triple Traverse - came up Broad Fork Twin Peaks from Lisa Falls in Little Cottonwood Canyom (class4-5?), did the traverse, and descended down Broad Fork
Route Climbed: Lake Blanche/North Ridge Date Climbed: July 1996
A variation of the usual route from Lake Blanche. Nice off-trail hiking until final 500 feet of scrambling up tricky slabs with some exposure and serious routefinding. Typically great view of peaks in this area, particularly astounding view down Tanners Gulch.
Route Climbed: East ridge Date Climbed: 05/31/2001
I climbed this peak at least once a year. I have climbed it both in winter and summer. Early spring is my preference with consolidated snow. It is a great training hike for higher peaks.
