Mt Foraker Sunset at 17k

June 16, 2008 - Mt Foraker seen at midnight from the 17k Camp on Denali. The camp is so high compared to the rest of the region that if you look closely, you can see the curvature of the earth along the horizon!

This is one of my favorite photos on Summitpost already! Well done and beautiful view. Hope you don't mind if I have it my desktop background for a little while. A very beautiful atmosphere indeed! I consider this perhaps the most beautiful moments in mountaineering. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers Josh Lewis

Re: Stunning!

These were definitely my favorite parts of the climb, and no one else bothered to get out of their tents to enjoy it! I'm glad you like it.

Re: amazing

Unfortunately this one is old, but the stoke is always there. I need to start planning my next visit to AK. It can be addicting ;-) I hope you had a blast as well!
