Completed this day after Canada Day with a heavy head, was a looooonnngggg day
Part of an awesome Wapta traverse
Climbed with Yamnuska on an intro to mountaineering program. Tons of fun
A windy day, but great views!
the weather was overcast and we couldn't see far
Amazing view. Fun climb!
I wish! Summited this one in a total whiteout. Got back to the hut thanks to our compass. Still fun though.
Gordon was the last summit we did during a very educational introductory mountaineering course with Yamnuska. Unlike the other logs here, we had pretty clear views around us and it was really amazing. We could see Hector Lake, the Yoho valley, numerous peaks in every direction, and of course the icefield below. However, it wasn't completely clear, so we couldn't see as far as the spires in the Bugaboos which apparantly can be seen on a cloudless day. No complaints whatsoever though! Great climb.
Got to the top and couldn't see a thing. Two guided groups beat us there. Wapta traverse is a wonderful trip.
Intermittent white-out all day on trip. No views.
With Yam group. Blustery cold wind and light snow. Off and on view from top was great when it was on.
