Remember

I remember this; get up at midnight, climb, and by dawn you see this. I'm not going to climb it again, though.
Nice shot.

Re: Remember

It is one hell of a loose mountain, I can relate to the one and done. It is an advantage to put your high camp on the moraine near the glacier. We were able to start at about 4:30 crossing the glacier.

Re: Love that...

Thank you for the nice words. It was definatly a colorful sky made possible I believe by nearby forest fires.

Re: Great view!

Thank You, For the nice comment. The climb was one of my most memorable for the view. The route basically did a 360 degree corkscrew up the mountain.

I really miss the days

when I could get up early, and sink my crampons
into a firm PNW glacier!!!

And, you can also call me Larry.

Re: I really miss the days

Hi Larry, Thanks for visiting. To compound things, Its hard to sleep before an early start.
It's that darn early start that usually ensures good crampon conditions and great alpenglow pics. (what do you do)

I enjoy your posts, nice to be aquainted.

Larry.
