Short trail up & Long trail down
It was our last and only half day in Adirondacks so we decided to do this short hike which started right behind our cabin. The sun was shining the whole 3 days, but this last day was very murky and it was snowing. The view was supposed to be very rewarding for such a short hike, but I did not expect to see much. I was mistaken even with the snow there was a little bit of sunshine coming through the clouds so our view was not too disappointing just little different than from the previous hikes. Still very pleasant hike, but in winter crampons are a must. It is very rocky with a little bit of scrambling at the top part.
Route Climbed: Short/Long Date Climbed: Several times since 1990
This mountain probably has one of the best views for the effort in the daks. I try to climb it on every trip if time allows. It's a great vantage point to check out some of the high peaks before climbing them.
Route Climbed: Up Short Trail down Long Trail Date Climbed: August 23rd, 2003
Mt Jo was my first summit in the Daks. The trail is nice and short and the summit has great views!! For a few photos feel free to check out my personal website at Natural Born Hikers

Route Climbed: Short Route Date Climbed: Summer 1996I stepped too close to a yellowjacket nest on the way down and was attacked. Was glad I wore jeans that day - only one got me in the noggin.
