A friend was leaving town and this was on his bucket list. Nice hike in the later afternoon/early evening.
Lots of people at the top, but not as much of a zoo as I'd expected on a Sunday morning. The use trail from Cahuenga is a bit more exciting than one may expect. Many chopper flybys.
Cool and overcast today so a nice walk from Wonder View Trail. been meaning to do this hike for a while. Did see the LAPD helo coming by for a look around
Ran up here decently hard after doing Mt. Hollywood and intervals around the observatory. It was a nice day and a really fun run down!
with Cahuenga and Hollywood
Got here following the ridge from Mount Hollywood. Mix of fire roads and use trails.
Down in LA for other events but took a couple of hours for a hike with friends. Did the hike up from Lake Hollywood via Burbank and Cahuenga
W/ Hollywood & Cahuenga
Hiked in the afternoon after a stormy morning making for clear views and few people. Cool view of the backside of the Hollywood sign from the top.
Fun hike in perfect weather. Saw a number of interesting people and pets along the way.
Beat the crowds and run the ridge out to the 911 tree.
The trifecta of Hollywood, Lee and Cahuenga. Great views, and a fun hike.
nice nearby classic jaunt
Climbed west route via Cahuenga Peak with my brother visiting from Dallas, Tx. and my best friend. Fantastic hike from this direction, giving you a glimpse of the sign and then taking you right to it. Hazy and foggy morning, but great way to spend a few hours!!
Hiked to the top with my wife. I lived in LA in the 60's and 70's and never found my way to this point. Although it was a hazy day, it was well worth it. Hiked over to Cahuenga Peak as well and would highly recommend doing that if you make the effort for Mt Lee.
I've climbed this a few times. First back in '01. The letters make a nice frame for photographing the city.
Was up there when going to the sign was legal, recently hopped over to Cahuenga Peak, the high point of the ridge.
