Nice ...I spent many years exploring MRNP, and
had never came across a Red Fox.
I believe their "coloration" changes with the
seasons. It must still be wearing half of its
winter's coat.
Mike, is there still lots of snow at Paradise? ??

"cross fox"Not a separate species, just a coat color of red fox (c.f. "silver fox").
They look a lot like grey foxes. Easiest way to tell the difference is by the tip of the tail - red/cross/silver foxes have white at the tip of the tail, grey foxes have black.
