Kathy, what do you mean by "before my fall?"
Are you okay?

Re: Kathy,Well, I slipped on the High Route and fell about 30 feet in the scree and sprained my ankle quite badly. With help from others I managed to recover my gear that went flying everywhere and hiked unassisted back down to Paradise. Quite a scare but I loved my hike!
The bruises and cuts are another story!
Thanks for asking! Guess I'll write this all up for a trip report.

Re: Kathy,Thank God you're okay, aside from the cuts and bruises. You need to take it easy for a while and work on a trip report.
Looking forward to reading the details.

Re: Kathy,Hey Kathy:
I did the same thing several years ago on the Muir Snowfield.
Sometimes, you gotta pick up the pieces,
and the fond memories will show up later.
Looking forward to your trip report.

Re: Kathy,So you left some dignity and skin on a mountain too! Luckily I had a small snowfield at the bottom of the scree or I would have slipped all the way down to Paradise!
I still enjoyed Rainier tremendously!

SummerCrazy how different Rainier looks in the later summer after all of the melting than in the early summer.
When I was there we could barely see the Gib. Rock and now you can see every rock imaginable...

Re: SummerI'll have to look back at the spring pics. This was my first trip to Rainier and I definitely noticed all those rocks you mentioned!

Re: I'm so sorry to hear thatThanks for the well wishes! I'm walking in a boot which is fine and so much better than a cast/crutches. Rainier was definitely a little pain!
