Thanks Liba. It's worth the trip out if you can manage it sometime. Very interesting visitor centers with lots of information and history. The lake is interesting, still covered with 100s of floating logs from the blast, on the left side of the lake.

Thanks Sarah! I was so disappointed when I woke, everything was clouded in. Lucky for me by the time we packed up the clouds broke and I found a nice spot.

Thank you so much Marc... I'm just happy that you and others enjoy taking a look every now and then. You have so many fantastic photos from different areas, I really appreciate your thoughts. I especially like your photos of Mount Tom and Basin Mountain- I could look at them anytime.

How ya doin' ?

I just came back from the Philippines where
I flew over and observed hundreds of volcanoes,
but NONE looked more attractive than Mt. St. Helens.

Didn't the 30th anniversary just go by?
Who knows where the time goes ...

Thanks Larry- Would not have have minded some time in the Philippines recently. Spent the last weekend freezing my butt off while it snowed.

Its amazing how the years seem to go by from events like that.

Right. Last weekend featured a lot of whiteout though- looking like I may head back this weekend- let me know if you are interested. This was in July, but I liked the photo and I didn't see anything like it on the Mt St Helens page.

This is just gorgeous, Chad! The contrast of the flowers with their beautiful rose color with the mountain and the lake and the clouds floating is just ravishing! I love it!
