Sweet loop  Sucess!

Pretty cool mountain, about 1 1/2 hours to the top. There's sort of a false summit shortly before the summit, so if you haven't run into the few metres of "climbing" you're not at the top yet. Saying that though some way below the false summit above all the rabbit tracks, if you're following the odd cairn you end up at this slightly confusing spot where the "track" drops steeply down into this narrow valley thing before heading steeply up the other side. Looks just like debris falls but it's actually a route. You can do other things here like maybe head up the narrow "valley" to your right or just climb right up the rock (looks doable but not sure where it tops out). Anyway from the summit you can come down the same way or continue along the fairly exposed if not terribly difficult ridge and ledges (hands are required) then somewhere around the col and vegetation heading back to the tarns via a series of long scree slopes with some traverses across and bush bashing. An hour down this way.

Great views, alone on the summit  Sucess!

My only summit - nice and pretty easy - on a great bird watching trip through NZ :-)
