Whitney from Williamson

Great shot! Nice view of Russell and Whitney, but also of the 13,900+ ft. peak west of Russell--not often acknowledged, but a spectacular mountain in its own right.. I have seen this peak from the San Gabriels' Mt. Gleason 175 mi. to the South. Looks like Mt. Chamberlain and Langley (?) are visible to the right, background. Superlative photo!

Reconsideration

Still a great photograph. I feel this is THE best pic I've seen of Pk. 13,900+ west of Russell. I'm beginning to wonder if the peaks right of Whitney could be Langley and LeConte (or Mallory).
