Mt Whitney under the moon...

Mt Whitney under the moon light, from Iceberg Lake. Light from descending climbers' headlamps was visible in the Mountaineer's chute (first chute right of the summit) even as late as 2 am. August 2004.

are those headlights?

coming down the chute. Looks great, makes me fell happy to be back at camp instead of making my way down in the dark.

Re: are those headlights?

Yes they are headlights. The East Buttress had a long line of climbers that day, some ended up coming down in the wee hours. Good weather though.

Unusual view

and very good exposure. Not the standard shot of Whitney.
