Great Day out  Sucess!

climbed from south end of Vielha tunnel. A fabulous hot sunny day. A leisurely 7.00am start saw me on the summit by 11.00am as the clouds began to build over the massif for the afternoon thunder storm, and back down by 3.00pm for a well earned beer. Nice varied route with wild flower meadows, waterfalls, bit of snow and some splendid views from the summit.

From Vielha  Sucess!

Hiked up from the Vielha tunnel (south side) and back in 8 hours. Nice route with some variation (water falls, boulders, snow fields and a little scrambling). Clouded most of the day.

With Ken, we had arrived at the Col d'Alfred and had been up the Tres Puntes and the Coth deth Horo before doing Mulleres.

route: Plan de Aiguellet, ruta normal  Sucess!

Drove from home (2hours). Caught the 8 am bus up to la Besurta and from there, a long walk-in. Overcast morning and it rained on us.
At the end of the valley, there was a lot! of water to cross. One party didn't carry on because they didn't like the crossing, but we joined up for a while with a nice guy who knew the route well and we started the climb up to the Ibon Alto de l'Escaleta. Snow patches and then, all the way to the summmit - snow.
We had plans to do Pico Salenques, (a few metres below 3000 altitude) which is opposite looking across at Anteo - guide book says half-an-hour more. But we were pretty shattered after the snowy haul up, so left it for another day.
With another 2 hours home, it was a long day.
This is the only tresmil we've done in a day, from home. Ususally we stay in a refuge or camp.

Guiding a group  Sucess!

I climbed this peak with other 9 dutch persons, on a misty day (low clouds). The most of the route was free of snow. About 7-8 degrees on the top ans a little wind. We took the route from La Renclusa and Aigualluts. We walked from 7:45 till 12:30 (on the top)

A nice sunny day  Sucess!

Climbed from the Pleta de Mulleres, at the southern end of the Viella Tunnel. I went there with my wife Gemma and my son Guillem, to whom it was their first three thousand height meters peak.
