Trails all the way to the summit  Sucess!

Hiked on Labor Day. Easy half-day hike from Little Water trailhead at the end of the road in Millcreek Canyon. Views were obscured from smoke all over the Wasatch Range and Park City. Beautiful late summer day otherwise. Although the parking lot and overflow lots were completely full at 8:30 am, there was nobody else on the peak and few people on the trail. There is a register at the summit and a metal shack. Hiked with RDB.

Good hike

After failing this last summer just a few hundred feet below the summit, I returned determined to make it to the top. The problem is that the trail off of the mail trail is nearly impossible to find from the east. This year we more or less decided to skip the trail and just blazed our own trail straight up the hill. As we did, we continued to work our way west and eventually found the trail west of the second connecting ridge. From there it was an easy hike up to the top. I'm glad to have this one done, but it sure sucked to hike the same 10 miles again.

Great Day  Sucess!

Upper Millcreek Canyon was very green and there were plenty of flowers still out. It was a nice short hike with great views of the Millcreek Ridge!

Don't remember the exact date, but I started in Millcreek and went up the Great Western Trail, then bushwacked to the summit and followed the ridge back a ways.

Big Water  Sucess!

The trailhead name says it all. With massive snowfall this winter, trail following Mill Creek was one creek crossing after the other. Then, on descent, my wife and I were drenched in a thunderstorm that produced hail and flash-bangs a quarter mile above our heads on the canyon ridges. Good times. A great low-impact hike in normal conditions.
