Murphy Hogback View of Candlestick Tower

This is the view from Murphy Hogback in Canyonlands National Park, UT. The prominent butte just right of center is Candlestick Tower (5867 ft). The sunken area in the foreground is Soda Springs Basin. The dome-looking feature to the right is, in fact, not a dome at all–-it is a narrow fin that rises to 6229 feet. This view is from near the western intersection of Murphy Trail and White Rim Trail (where the hiking and 4WD trail are common). Imaged in May 2010.
