I sure do love them Sangres! Another great page, and one that I've been waiting for for a while. Nice work.

Thanks for adding this mountain. It looks like Music Mountain is part of a long ridge. Would you be able to combine it with other peaks in the area such as Tijeras and Milwaukee? Upper Sand Creek Valley seems like the best place to camp.

Great question! To connect these peaks directly along the ridgelines would be technical for sure, but you could add Tijeras to your day once you got off Music's east ridge by contouring south toward Tijeras' crux cliff band. I'll incorporate this into the overview.

Outstanding as usual. GREAT route photos, excellent route description and superb trip report. This looks like a fun one for Ellen and me (along with Tijeras for Ellen). Good report on the road-which should not be underestimated. It's a challenge for most 4WDs except jeeps. Thanks for the links to Tijeras, too!

Music sure is a nice looking mountain.

Ryan, you're calling it the "Sand Creek Group." What is that, did you just make that up! Everyone knows its the Milwaukee Group, but nobody can explain why. Just messin with ya. Awesome page.

Thanks, yes. I have been incredibly busy so I haven't logged on to SummitPost as often as I would like, until lately here.
