The trail from the trailhead to Music Pass is open. There are some snowbanks that require you to go off-trail for a few feet, but nothing to worry about. From the Sand Creek Trail up to Lower Sand Creek Lake and Upper Sand Creek Lake the trail is very difficult to follow or traverse due to snow. Snowshoes would be helpful, but you would have to use them on the open ground as well because the snow is patchy.
