Re: The trees?

Cascade, once again - this winter tops of many trees in Izery (ca 50%), especially larch and spruce, because of very heavy fall of snow subsequently changing into ice have been broken. I do not know how they restart to grow during this very late spring.

Hi, Cascade!!!

Forests in Izery Mts. during the 70/80-ies were almost completely destroyed by heavy pollution from nearest brown cool mining in DDR and Poland. The weak trees were attacked by insectes. Then mountains died and were very unpleasant to hike. Now, after several years, they have a newe image - many young trees have been introduced here, mainly beech, larch, new varieties of spruce, and Pinus montana on the highest places. On the picture there is some remnant from the past. Izery are at present full of life!!!

Hi romauld. In the state of Oregon we to had an insect infestation that attacked our pine forests on the east side of the state. The izery mountains are a wide open region very pretty area. Thank you for sharing.
