Scrambled up from Scenic Lake after hiking up for an overnighter. Fun little scramble and amazing scenery.

Up King Creek to lake 8455
Started at Little Queens River TH. Went up King Creek. Gained the south ridgeline from lake 8455. Beautiful and straightforward ridge walk north to the summit. The surrounding unnamed lakes are also a must-visit for a summer's day swim. Drop into Queens River trail from the unnamed lakes at 7980. Take poles to help you cross over Queens River to gain the trail

Ridge Traverse
Hiked up Little Queens trail to Browns Lake, then up Browns Peak. From there stayed mostly on ridge over to Scenic Peak, Flat Top, Scenic Peak 9554, then up Nahneke. When I crested, there was a forest fire below in my descent valley. I saw planes circling above. I was able to get past to finish this 22 miles loop (13 hrs). This area has some of the greatest unnamed scenic lakes.

Double Peak DayDid Nahneke and then Scenic from Scenic Lake. Did them during a ten day backpack. Scenic lake is beautiful.
