North Approach  Sucess!

I would not feel comfortable parking at the spot the WTA directions lead you to for the north approach, as there you are among private residences and the gate is posted. Instead I parked on public land off of road 6603 just a little bit south of the WTA trailhead. Overall a nice short hike with views of Glacier Peak

Natapoc walk  Sucess!

Forgot about hunting season. Followed some deer track up the trail and then caught up to some hunters. Hunters love random hikers.

North Approach  Sucess!

Started up this one with low expectations, and ended up being pleasantly surprised. Interestingly, most of the good views are below 3500'.

Natapoc, Bee Sting, Loop  Sucess!

Sleeped while Gimpy got Beaver Hill (I already did that earlier in the month. Natapoc was surprisingly enjoyable with on and off views from start to finish. This peak is ideal as a spring hike.

Natapoc, Beaver, Bee Sting, Loop  Sucess!

4 hills with Greg on a rainy day before the rain started.

Natapoc  Sucess!

Easy walk on a nice day. Saw cougar tracks near the top.

So Nice I Did It Twice!  Sucess!

Actually, in an effort to show my appreciation for Paul coming with me to Whitmore Mountain (another Washington P2K) and a couple of other peaks that day, I was willing to return to Natapoc Mountain while on the way back home just so Paul could do it for the first time. 1h35m up, 1h10m down

Natapoc  Sucess!

I wound up doing some bushwhacking on this one which may have been my fault. I think the powerline road offers the easiest travel even if it is low on the aesthetics. As I recall, there was a pretty decent bootpath of sorts once you got to the pass and headed for the summit.

Very Enjoyable Hike  Sucess!

I really liked this peak. I think I timed it just right, too. The road approach was almost entirely snow-free, but the entire off-road section (minus a couple of small areas on the summit ridge) was snow-covered. Easy traversing, minimal brushy spots.
Went to both summits; the south summit seemed higher, and my GPS device agreed (it showed 4220' elevation at the south summit, in contrast to the 4204' elevation of the north summit).

Great day, and my 49th Washington P2K.
