Nearing the Only Fixed Piton

...on the Cobra in the Fisher Towers, UT. At this point I was near twenty feet in the air and was pretty much free soloing. I placed a hex in a crack for peice of mind, but knew it would do nothing if fallen on. I was pretty sketched out at this point and backed off shortly after. The Cobra is not for me. Oct, 2007.

Thanks, I was so close but could not lock off the finger jam to clip the pin. Was not sure if the pin would hold either, so I decided to avoid the strike of the cobra. Would love to do this some day though...

FYI, you are off route here. the next hold after the obvious crack is a hidden hold high and right. then you lieback and reach back left.

Just looking at this photo makes me sweat...

...and the rope wrapped around your leg in a wrong way... and just imagine how much slack you'd have to pull to try to clip in... and if you took a flyer while clipping in... it all just sends shivers down my spine :)
