A popular place. You will draw an audience, like it or not, when climbing this objective. We did the 5.10 direct face route, a little run out, but a classic local favorite. Bob Archbold actually showed me this route. Needles, Custer State Park, South Dakota (route page coming) April, 2006

a Needles page for SP Dow?
Been enjoying your spire photos. Would be cool to have a page for this neat little place? Any plans?

yes, coming today, I don't utilize SP as a photo album...all these photos will be attached and have significance to climbing in the area

A very interesting shape of the formation. How big is this thing? Would be nice to climb there!

Cheers, Vladislav...over 50 meters, you need double ropes for most raps in the Needles.
