Nevado Churup Belay/Rap Station

Nevado Churup Belay/Rap Station

A tangle of old webbing runs up the rock butress on the side of the southwest face. It is convenient for descent (or as a quick belay anchor when protection isn't possible elsewhere), but be sure to inspect its condition as this is not an overly popular route. We were rushing to get down before a storm, but a cleanup is definitely warranted. Photo by Beckwith. June 25, 2009. [See Nevado Churup Page]
