The unofficial "trailhead" for the unofficially named New Round Mountain Trail, located near Darrington, Washington. The partially hidden tall fir tree seen on the rightside of this photo is the key to locating the entrance point to the trail. At the time this photo was taken, an orange ribbon marked the trailhead (leftside of photo). Photo taken on July 4, 2010.

Aw shucks

We never saw this portion of the "trail" since we cross countryed up from a logging road. We did intersect the "trail" on top of Cone Peak which made life a lot easier. We did see your footprints in the snow in the upper basin as we did this mountain just two days after you did it. The views ARE outstanding on a clear day.
