Nicaraguan Nut Butter, 5.10, 12 Pitches
With Jonathan from Golden, CO. Average route at best, but where do you get 12 pitches in South Platte? The FAers directed you to an obscure (already established finish). We looked up and asked why there was no beta on Mountain Project or in the Fixed Pin guide referencing the outstanding large right facing corner. We went for it and all three pitches were in line with the grade of this route and right in line with where you finished onto the forest area. All three were just about the best pitches we climbed all day. I am sure there is an FA out there on this line. This is the way you want to finish for sure. You end up right at the rap bolt used to lower to the north face raps, in fact I belayed my partner up on it. A route worth doing in the most pristine environment of all of South Platte.
