Nicely's Ledge, a great bivy...

Nicely's Ledge, a great bivy sight on the infamous 395 north face route up to the summit of Whoa Nelli Deli. The crux difficulty is fluid, depending on the number of tour buses encountered. (Team Applebee's, from Livermore) Sept. 12, 2004

Great route illustration

That is a perfect shot of the most dangerous objective hazard along the route. Climbers should traverse completely around Nicely's to avoid potential for injury.

Re: Great route illustration

Make sure that if route conditions dictate stopping at Nicely's to have one of these with you for the next half hour or so- I'm not sure if AAC climber's insurance covers the types (nor the magnitude ) of accidents that Nicely's has caused numerous unsuspecting climbers.

Re: Great route illustration

Wow, I didn't read the sign in the background closely the first time. Maybe some bail anchors near the front door would help too.

And all this time I thought it was altitude sickness that was keeping me off Bachar/Yerian.

False Summit

It was this or the Bardinni House? Bishop sure has low water pressure....verified first hand, you bet.
