The Laban Rata mountain hut has a dinner buffet and a grocery store! How does all this product get up there? Helicopters are too expensive. This is one of the many restaurant porters. Each carries between 35-50 Kgs! And some were smoking cigarettes on the way up. Man I felt like a wimp. One of the porters are a woman around my age! (40-something) I think we've forgotten how to work hard in the west.

This is the way

it was done too in the Alps earlier. If possible one had a horse or mule carry, but when that was impossible it was a man!

It reminds me of how I became lazy sitting behind a computer 20
years. Exercise four times a week is not going to get me as healthy as that man!
