Beautiful day, but threatening in the afternoon  Sucess!

From the Wiesbadener Hütte we ascended by the Wiesbadener Grätle to the Buinlücke and followed the normal route from there; we descended the whole normal route down the Ochsentaler Glacier.

It was in the middle of a heat wave, but high up in the mountains it wasn't too warm. However, every afternoon the clouds would build up, and we never knew if it would stay dry or whether we would end up in a heavy storm. This day the skies got quite dark, but we got only a few drops, nothing serious.

To beat the possible rain, the next day we headed out before dawn. Our first goal was a traverse of the Silvrettahorn, and to get there, we went back up the normal route for Piz Buin again, well up the Ochsental Glacier, to around 1 km from the Buinlücke. That's where we turned right, leaving the clear trail to make our own way up.
